Mixed feelings. Expanding the universe is one thing but this feels like a mash up of all the main Alien movies. Predicatable at best! Underwhelming at most. There is nothing original or new to the universe here. If anything a movie tying up Covenant to Alien 1 would be a better deal. This felt like a bad version of Rogue One. While Rogue One really added to the lore of Star Wars, this didn't. The mystery of the Balck Goo and who made the Xenos are now made clear. What would be an awesome direction would be How and Why the Dredanought in Alien got there and how that ties up to David. Top marks for effort.
