I wrote about 4 years ago on the STO forums that people wanted to see the story move forward, with much disagreement from those enjoying the "new" (for its time) Discovery. With the reception of Picard, including my own, seems to have proven I was right, in that moving the story forward was the right call. CBS take notice, move the story forward in a direction that is Trek, and people will love you, especially when it is done as well as Picard. 9 Episodes in, and not an ounce of disappointment, other then knowing that Season1 will soon end. It may not be the "same ol'" Trek many of us have known and loved over the years, but it's story and narrative, are with out a doubt all things Star Trek fans have loved for decades. To the people behind the scenes, the directors and especially the cast: You have my thanks for bringing back the world(s) of Trek, it had been sorely missed till now. Keep it up, i look forward to what else is in store.
