Extraordinary tour de force. Achieves on a deep level everything plastic Barbie tries to achieve on a superficial level. For a start, it doesn’t use the word patriarchy once. Emma Stone commits completely and thoroughly deserves her best actress nod. I can’t recommend this film highly enough, and yet I can’t tell you why without spoilers. And you don’t want that. Just enjoy it.
