I agree with others that it is a slow read at the beginning but KEEP reading. A little more than half way though' you won't be able to put it down. The magic and mysticism combined with the human emotions of shame, pain, anger, loneliness and love come together in a beautiful, redemptive story. I highly recommend this book.
