Constant, political drivel about how dumb Republican voters are, how nobody believed in Covid (???) how they wouldn’t get vaxxed, (triple vaxxed here still lost grandmoms, stepdad, etc.etc.) Not only is it coming from the inside of a cagey, bat-surrounded-eccentric brain, this read makes him sound uneducated and boring, living high and mighty behind a wall…This author has completely lost his touch. We already knew he had lost touch with reality, and that’s why we read his books. Definitely pass this by. It’s stressful, tiring, annoying, and at times infuriating to listen to-I got to chapter 8 or so and returned it. I couldn’t even be angry with the serial killers in the story, because King’s worldly grievances speak through them so transparently it sounds a bit like King might have Trump and a bunch of Republicans in his basement. This is not even twisted enough to be worth the aggravation. PS-we read horror to escape Trump derangement syndrome AND Covid.
