Its titled the choice, only he ignores her boundaries constantly, that is not choice or romantic. This film sends a very toxic message out as it glorifies manipulation not love. She says no. This film gets off on chaseing her and ignoring her. No means NO and I am concerned over how many ppl see that as nice or even think she had a good time. Her first partner wasnt really there, rocked up when he liked. Second had commitment issues then chased her till she gave in suddenly understanding commitment like she saved him.

A bunch of self centred lawyers who love gossip. The plot is as all over as the mental state of the main character. Its trashy in my mind. I gave up.

So very well done, a whole film full of gaslighting, that shows why it is so difficult for any rape victim to have a platform to be a victim in the first place. Without the truth and thus the acknowledgment it happened, there is nothing to survive from. It's hugely complicated and a struggle to understand the levels it is complex, why she wouldn't the perfect victim, why she can't talk, why she lies, becomes egocentric and alot more or why she doesn't match the image of the fierce survivor. It was beautiful to see her straighten out and trust her perspective by the end. Though in life the perpetrator isn't likely to validate it. Some fabulous quotes and great strength.
