Season one was great. Season two is so convoluted it's really hard to understand.

It's Virgin River meets Law & Order, except they don't introduce the characters at all so why should I care? There is no real story. There's one poorly developed detective that I can't bring myself to care about. I suppose there are more characters but why bother? You never actually meet them. And seriously, if there are this many murders in a "small town"? That's a problem. It's not plausible. There's no character that you care about. They can all get murdered for all I'm actually interested.

It was quite good until this last season. This season doesn't resolve anything. It's a collection of good ideas for a show but the writers never really get there with it. It doesn't make any sense.

It could've been phenomenal. But it focused so heavily on action, it was nowhere near obvious what the actual story was. The characters aren't even named. How do I know who to root for, even? I don't. But it could've been phenomenal, if they'd spent just five minutes on the actual plot.

We really liked the first three seasons. And we were so excited for season four but honestly season three is really bad. Here's what happens when you don't follow the book, BBC - the result is a bunch of random scenes that don't make a bit of sense, new characters no one cares about and a "story" that makes no sense. I expected better from BBC, seriously. This is bad. We used to look forward to new episodes, now we don't even care.
