Liam Dunn's performance as the judge is stand out; the entire thing is wonderful. Saying "Just watch Bringing up Baby" instead is like saying there's no reason for different thrillers, sci fi, or romance films or books. They aren't the same. They're different. And both are great. Everyone is top notch and Madeline Kahn in this her debut film is brilliant. O"Neal is at his most understated and sexiest; Streisand is delightful. There are gags that are recreated from silent film and tweaked, like the concrete workers and glass carriers... and it all works because it's timeless, comedic, cornball and light. EXACTLY what we need right now.
