Enjoying this, but the bloody constant music competing with speech is very irritating. Why can’t it disappear, or at least fade, when people are speaking? I’m hard of hearing and it makes listening hard work! It seems to be the trend to have ‘background music’ which is louder than everything else.

I’m really enjoying this series on Netflix. So many movies and series these days have the speech competing with ‘background’ music, which is as loud, and sometimes louder, than the voices! I have given up on many things I would like to watch because of the annoying, constant music which adds nothing to the plot and makes listening hard work! Many thanks for making this. 😊

Season 1/episode 1 - Fifteen minutes in and all I’ve seen is ears, eyebrows and hair. Being hard of hearing, lip reading is important to me. I don’t know if this is supposed to be artistic license or the camera man is on work experience. Whichever, I really can’t watch any more. Too much like hard work.

I’ve enjoyed season 1 and 2 very much, however, I’m finding the ‘background’ music in season 3 most annoying, Not only is it NOT background music, the volume is not muted when the cast is speaking. I have missed so much of the dialogue I’m wondering if it’s worth continuing watching. Cardinal often speaks very quietly and the music drowns him out. It adds little, if anything, to the atmosphere, much of it being just noise.
