When I was 13 my mother finished reading The Stand. It was huge and I thought if I could just read it, how smart would I be. She said I was too young and I had to wait. I would sneak and read it every chance I got. It was delightfully terrifying. I was hooked. I have loved SK/ I have hated him. I’ve thrown his books down and swore never to pick it up again. In an hour be curled up with same book. I love books. I love to read. I love everything from biographies to science fiction. I don’t care if you speak on your views but I believe there’s a book for that. Just like there is a book for getting lost in another world fantasy. SK you were always my other world fantasy. I’m not political. I don’t care what anyone believes. Your business. I don’t force my views, I really don’t have any, except you do you. I will not only not recommend this book i will express just how terrible it is. I want my damn money back. I couldn’t live in the book bc of the constant references to Covid, vax, Trump, etc. I thought Fairytale was a masterpiece. I walked and breathed in that world and so many other worlds of SK design. Very disappointed
