Luckily I tried it with a Ubisoft Plus account first.. Like others, waited a long time for this. I have a stress filled job, so the chance to have my brain totally engaged in something else a few hours a day is a godsend. Last played was the Settlers 2 Gold addition which was excellent. I think I played this new version for as many minutes as the months I spent waiting for it (10?). I didn't get as far as others who realised it was too basic, but it was clear it was designed by committee rather than with passion and has little to no identify of it's own. My commiserations to all those who bought the full version. Ended up discovering Anno 1800 with the plus account I got for Settlers and, well, now I have my happy escape from the real world for a few hours a day
