Being someone who read 20+ Robert Parker Spenser novels, I was excited to see this movie as I also like Mark Wahlberg. What a disappointment. The movie was OK at best, and other than having the names of the characters "Spenser" and "Hawk", it was not even close to being a movie that followed these true characters in the novels nor did it expose the type of story typically written by Parker. True Spenser fans will not enjoy this movie as it falls very short to expectations. Thank God it was free on Netflix!
