For starters... ignore any and all negative reviews given by movie critics who never grew up with this genre of music or understand how powerful of a story this movie portrays. "The Dirt" beautifully depicts the classic rise, fall, and rise again of 1980s rock and roll band Motley Crew. Starting with the bands founding, viewers are sent on a roller coaster of events, unfolding as the band grows in popularity. Through constant partying, sex, and drug abuse the audience is introduced to the life of a rock star. Every song is performed beautifully, the story is immersive and full of emotion, and each one of the actors truly deliver their character. I truly couldn't recommend this movie enough.
