Devil May Cry isn’t a series meant to be played once and put down. It begs a lot of you. From memorization of sequences to button timing, it is very demanding. This game is arguably the easiest in the series for newcomers, but for the old die hard fans of Japanese action games, the replay value is very high and this game has the best mechanics of any game in the series to date. You have to play through 3 increasing difficulties to unlock everything there is in the game and the challenge level ramps up to meet your power level in order to keep you interested if that’s your thing.
In fact, if you don’t replay the normal mode at least for a few hours, there is a huge chance that you didn’t unlock even half of what you had access to in the base game. Nero gets a huge buff upon completion of the normal mode and it brings him up to the other 2 characters power level for the final 2 difficulty levels.
10/10 for action game fans.
