I've never seen a show more beautiful or empowering. As a cisgender pan Afro-American coffee-table coaster, never have I felt more represented on screen than now. As a matter of fact, I feel overwhelmed with how represented I am. The patriarchal society we live in could never understand the amount of hate and shame we coasters experience in our day to day lives. Especially of the coffee-table variety, in which I belong. It's been a constant uphill battle we've fought, clawing our way for any respect and humanization, let alone destigmatization. And now, seeing this show, I can't believe it. All our hard work—our years of battle—has finally paid off. I couldn't help but cry at the sheer beauty of it all. Finally, after all this time, we got the representation we have desperately earned—and we've found that representation in Jennifer Walters. Never, have I *ever*, seen someone who represented me more. It was beautiful. Though she is a she/her superhero, she completely radiated coaster energy. Everything about her screamed *coaster*. It was beautiful. Her hair, her personality, the cgi...everything was amazing. It was like a beautiful symphony or orchestral justice. I cried harder than i ever had in the 38 years of my bleak, hopeless life. She wasn't just a superhuman lawyer. She was a coaster.
The fight isn't close to being over...in fact, it's only just begun. But this is a needed step in the right direction. I know Jennifer Walters is a beacon of hope for us all—all coaster types. Coffee-table, bar, kitchenette...all coasters are finally on their way to receiving the media recognition they deserve. And this show is the pioneer for it. God bless She-Hulk: Attorney at Law, and God bless Jennifer Walers.
