Poor storyline. The characters are somewhat difficult to understand and/or relate to. The backstories were disjointed. Loved Cherokee Bill ( Lakeith Stanfield) and Jim (RJ Cyler). However the only character who had a convincing (realistic) feel was Cuffe (Danielle Deadwyler ). Also mandatory light skinned damsel in distress. Why do they do that Great Spirit? Loved the soundtrack. Oh, LOTS of black on black violence. I suppose seeing historical B-on-B violence is why we all sat through that 2 hours? Though I understand the premise of morally dysphorius black people living their best lives. Also, Jay Z is behind it.
