I have been an Avatar fan from the beginning. I saw the movie in theaters and considered leaving early because how awful it was. I feel like this adaptation is much better than the movie. The plot is darker than the original and the effects are great. The main cast I think was a great pick. It does seem a bit rushed but not as much as people say. The original has lots of filler episodes which Im sure they may add in the future. Also, the first book is 20 episodes and this is 8 but each episode is an hour long. So it's like 16 episodes. Again, this is an adaptation so I think it passes. My main complaint are the side characters seem cheesy. Like I didn't like the acting for Fire Lord Sozin. The costumes are extremely well done and the set is nice. I do think I'm going to continue watching it but the original still has my heart.
