I started this show because of the potential mystery and I have always like Josh Brolin and this role suits him. The people that play his family are fine but the wife, annoying. (Spoiler)The writers should have let the grizzly kill her off. The drug addicted stranger needs to go back to where she came from... I know she is pivotal but come on. There is better writing to be done here. And for the love of God please write out the woman that plays the sheriff. It is an easy fix ( election) Christ could you screw up a character anymore. Ok now the neighbors the father is blah and his crazy ex-wife and sons are the kind of people you want to see lose at every turn. The oldest boy is a complete idiot and the younger one that thinks he is a singer... WHAT!!! Really. Now that I have made it to episode 8 it starts to make some sense about Brolin's character and the strange thing that is on his property. I hope there is a shake up in the writing and the character development gets better. By all means give it a shot. If you are on the younger side you will love the sheriff's character, the rich family neighbors and the girl who plays the stranger... Older folks that grew up with westerns and appreciate thr good parts of Yellowstone will understand my review completely. Fingers crossed it gets better.
