The heat is definitely not on, but the warm fuzz of nostalgia certainly is. This is pretty much Beverly Hills Cop I with the same lovable if older faces, and a grown daughter relationship thrown in to remind us it's been forty years. Kevin Bacon and Joseph Gordon-Hewitt are well cast and add to the fun. The only thing notably missing is Axel's signature laugh. Though not the powerhouse of the first two films, it's a happy ride worth taking.
