It doesn't trick or fool or scare or manipulate you to fill you with horror. It just discovers it in a straightforward way. It stays with me and asks questions, so I am not bothered by its shortcomings. I recommend it very much.

I think it is excellent. I love stories about expeditions and I love creature features so I am predisposed to like it. But it is also well written and believable and takes you aĺong for the ride. It isn't super scary or gory, but it does establish that discomfort and later dread that one wishes for in an upsetting horror. Even when pretty horrid things happen that isn't where the horror comes from. And I liked that.
