I had high hopes for 'King of Warth' after devouring the exceptional 'Twisted' series, but unfortunately, this book fell short of my expectations. While I enjoyed the story, I couldn't shake off the feeling that it was rushed and predictable. The pacing skipped over scenes that had the potential for great development, leaving me wanting more.
I also missed the character depth and backstory that made the 'Twisted' series so compelling. The characters in 'King of Warth' felt somewhat one-dimensional, lacking the complexity. I've come to expect from this author.
If I hadn't read the 'Twisted' series first, I would have likely loved 'King of Warth' without reservation. However, having experienced the masterful character building and storytelling of the previous series, I couldn't help but feel that this book didn't quite live up to its potential.
Still, fans of the author and the genre may find 'King of Warth' to be an enjoyable read, even if it doesn't quite reach the heights of the 'Twisted' series."
