Ok, it started sluggish, and kind of basic. But 20 minutes in, my daughter and I were invested. Was it an obvious ode to Star Wars, with stolen scenes and effects?? Yep. Did this Star Wars loving chick dig that part and feel it was a proper nod to such amazingness? Also. Yep. Honestly, the heroine of this film hands down outdid the Mary Jane character Rey in Star Wars. Watching her appropriately kick a** with no remorse was gratifying. Looking forward to Part Two!!
