Although I've watched this show for years, seen so many wonderful interviews and performances by many of my favorite artists, I will no longer watch due to the disrespect towards artists and their fans. In this day and age, when racism, and sexism should be long gone, James Corden has once again proven it is still ingrained in today's society.
To call BTS's 3rd invitation to the UN General Assembly "unusual" is just poor research. And to stereotype and label the artists fans as "15 year old girls" is abhorrent and absolutely wrong when the fandom (appropriately named ARMY) is among one of the most diverse I've ever seen, age-wise, gender, and culture.
During the comedy clip segment of the show I understand there must be something short and funny to talk about (the latest happenings in the news) but rather than putting down or making light of someone's (anyone's) incredible achievements, please next time if you don't have anything nice to say, don't say it at all. I am sure this has happened before with other Celebrities on your show, anything for a quick laugh, right?
But to do it towards Celebrities who have already been through so much hate, and discrimination in their careers (and still continue to navigate it) was just low. But not really surprising in this western culture unfortunately.
