This Thomas and Friends special completely surprised me. The characters are in the right as they took episodes from the first season and retelling it which is jut incredible, Especially since it was in the same order as the Railway Series. The animation is stunning from Arc Productions, The plot is interesting, entertaining and makes sense, And it’s a great tribute to The Thin Clergyman/Rev Wilbert Awdry.
Even though they should’ve made Henry in his old shape, This is one of the best Thomas and Friends specials I’ve seen in a while. It is also a great way to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the Railway Series and Thomas the Tank Engine even though Mattel ruined the show.
I especially like that they gave James his black livery back and how it talks about how it made Thomas a really useful engine. I also like how the end included Glynn the Old Vertical Boiler Engine and how it showed old pictures from the book series. The new rendition of the Troublesome Trucks is amazing as well.
Thomas isn’t an artistic masterpiece, But I love how good and gentle it is. It also has Educational Value and Great Messages with the nostalgia as well as good voice acting and every elemental nailed. It’s very fun to see how Sodor started as it was always busy.
The songs are catchy and the references of the old are stunning and my opinion, Perfect. This movie bright many memories back from our childhood and I would definitely recommend watching it. 10/10 movie rate
FUN FACT: Wooden Railway plans to add James in his black livery in 2005 for RWS Afro 60 years.
