If a book could be classified as artwork I’d say this is it. The Explorers Guild is a masterclass at what an immersive reading experience should be. The book is split into regular paragraphical novel writing and gorgeous comic art, topped with beautiful artwork to begin each section, and even the weathered pages to look like the journal of John Ogden himself. I was sold on the top-notch cover art alone, and I continue to be amazed the more I read it. I cannot recommend this book more, and I’m putting my hat in the ring asking and begging for a volume 2.
