This was a weak formulaic attempt at creating dramatic tension around a plot that never bloomed into anything satisfying. Gratuitous props to smokejumpers but ingredients of the storyline, though potentially interesting, were mixed in a recipe that yielded something that left you feeling, maybe if I drench this in a heavy sauce it would taste better cause it's missing something to make it worth consuming. I expect the excuse will be that viewers are to intellectually surmise the main ingredient details without reaping the benefit of rewarding curious senses. What's the point of that?
