I really tried very hard to like this book and persevered until halfway through but in the end Powers' forced language, constant repetition, suspension of plot and confusing overlapping of characters simply overwhelmed me. Sorry but life's too short.

Honestly ... 16 episodes!!! About 12 episodes too many. Quite intriguing and believable at first BUT all the red herrings, convoluted storylines and irrational behaviour by many of the characters left me bored to tears. We persevered to Ep. 11 then skipped to the last episode only to witness a most unsatisfactory ending. Don't bother.
