I have never written a review ever. I’m listening to this book on tape and just got to the part where the main make character and the new female friend he has made go from “meh” to “I love you in 5 seconds flat”. I appreciate Nicholas sparks and his work and know what I’m getting into when I read his books but this development between Trevor and Natalie was so unbelievable and so fast I felt offended that he felt he could sell this “love” and “I can’t love without you” stuff would fly. Too much, too fast, too unbelievable. I want to get lost in a good love story, don’t get me wrong. But don’t play me for a fool and I feel that this scene I just listen to assumed I was an idiot and would fall for it. I’ll keep listening just for kicks but that scene after the boat ride and dinner on the porch was too far fetched and really turned me off
