Reapers who save people from taking their own life. As someone who has always been obsessed with afterlife, religion, spirituality, mythology, this show is brilliant. It’s so surprising to see negative reviews, especially revolving around plot. Personally this is one of my new favorite shows, and I’m really proud of how it turned out. This show does handle a lot of sensitive subjects, and as someone who has gone through some of them, I personally think they handle everything really well. Sure it can be difficult for someone to watch if they’re triggered easily, but I still think the way they find solutions and handle the endings of episodes is extremely well done. The plot doesn’t center around one person, no, but it does START because of one, and you’re able to see how the characters affect one another. Their relationships grow, the situations change, and time progresses. There is plot, but also expect the episodes to follow a “case by case” basis. After all they’re reapers who find cases of people that need to be saved. The first episode does trick you into thinking it’ll be more comedic than it is, when trust me you’ll be crying way more often than you think. I urge people to give this show a shot. For fans of Link Click, Inception, and watching shows that involve the afterlife. Do it.
