I have never seen the TV series as period drama isn't my thing but for some unknown reason I wanted to see the film..I went with the view that I may not enjoy it but to my surprise I really loved it.. So glad I went and maybe it's given me an appetizer to watch the TV series on DVD, watch this space

Thought this film was dark and quite depressing however great acting from Pheonix, I will never listen to send in the clowns the same again...Not sure who decided to put a Gary Glitter track in, a controversial move if anything but I don't think it's a film for the manic depressive
