The material in this special was absolutely hilarious. I think if he had filmed this special anywhere but Florida he would’ve gotten a better reception and more laughs. Terrible crowd, great material. At the end of the day they are just jokes - JG is not a politician he’s a comic. I love the fact that some people don’t like it because that means it wasn’t catered to everyone. Of course he isn’t as energetic as he used to be and that’s just part of his evolution as a comic. I’m really not surprised that he wants to go darker after being labeled the “clean comic”. If you want jokes about hot pockets and junk food watch the old specials. Bravo Jim for taking chances on different material.
