The book so overhyped, honestly it revolved around Libby's weight to much and didn't elaborate in Jacks life as much as the reader would expect. Honestly, when reading this book you feel like the plot is going nowhere. Especially the first half of the book. There were a lot of parts in the book that could have been cut out and not included entirely. I understand what the author was going for but they executed it so poorly. I had such higher expectations for this book but I was disappointed when close to finishing it. The writing style was rather cliche and corny in my opinion. It tried to lace romance into the story but failed with second hand embarrassment instead. I felt as though the book was unenjoyable and the plot was so boring other than the fact its a boy meeting a girl with each having separate problems. The book is not relatable to at all, as a teen, its not something you can relate to in any way possible. The book poorly describes what a high school experience is like, and doesn't represent the characters in an amusing way. I would have liked to know more about Jacks family life (SPOILERS) - I would have wanted to know more on Jacks fathers affair, and his emotional state regarding that. The characters reactions and general perspective on the situations they were in were bland. I felt like dropping this book only a day into reading it. It is not the type of book to want to keep a reader continuing. I am sure the author has published more books rather more liked than this one, but I was honestly disappointed and won't go back to this author again.
