I cannot recommend this show enough--I've never returned to a show so much as I have to this one. Something about this world is just beyond compelling. This show is interesting in that it's technically a comedy, but it also leans fully into its moments of gravity; I've never seen trauma handled so well on screen as it was in season 2. It tells the story as it needs to be told, which is so rare to find on TV. That said, it's also SO funny. The humor may take some getting used to at first, but once you're in the dryness, it's top tier. The heart put into this show in every aspect is just incredible.
Side note, I also just really appreciate the way race is written and treated in this show. It's not colorblind, but it's also kind to its diverse characters. It feels safe to watch as a brown person. I love the dark comedies we get about minority experiences, but this stands out for not being about the awful things that always happen to us--it's just a fun story that happens to have non-white characters. We need more shows like this, and I sincerely hope someone gives this show a deserved 3rd season!!
