Just watched season 2 finale. Sad. Just sad.

I tried, but find the series largely uninteresting.

Dune II. What a spectacular mess. So much is handled awkwardly, oddly truncated, and ultimately the film misses having any substantive meaning. This highly polished Hollywood spectacle overshadows most everything of value about the story. All that money and tremendous effort is channeled in the wrong direction. The story itself is left wanting as if the filmmaker purposely did not include what makes Dune a success. Instead of buying a movie ticket, invest your money and time in reading the books - a truly fantastic experience.

Unwatchable. How does a movie like this get made? 0 stars.

Talk, talk, talk, talk, talk, talk…

Episode 3… Unimaginative overall. Obi-Wan/Ewan barely manages to overcome the weight of the marginal producing, directing, acting and writing. Hard to believe they spent all that money, time, effort and this is the result.

Enjoyed the series right up to the last episode. Suddenly this thoughtfully paced story rushed needlessly to a conclusion. Even more disappointing was a turn to solve problems via violence. This was incredibly unimaginative, unnecessary and out of place. Huge mistake to take this interesting “Icelandic” storytelling and cap it off with typical, gratuitous American violent storytelling. What a shame.

It’s just wrong on every level. Too bad...
