Beautiful graphics and incredible customization. However the best skins are locked away behind a loot box that cost actual money to use. Skins are also extremely expensive when compared to other games like Fortnite. The combat system is a very convoluted version of rock-paper-scissors that routinely doesn't obey it's own established rules. For example, red attacks (counters) are supposed to punish blue attacks (charged). Or at least that is what the tutorial tells you. The reality is quite different. You will frequently find yourself getting hammered because your opponent's blue attacks magically cuts right through your red one even though that is not supposed to happen. Then there's the annoying fact that every opponent who attacks you apparently has the ability to stun lock you, so you end up just standing there half the time getting wailed on until death. The tutorial does not explain how to stun lock people or avoid it, but obviously it exists in the game so good luck figuring that one out.

Fun game at the beginning. Then once you hit the space levels, it goes downhill very quickly. The gameplay becomes extremely convoluted and the difficulty spikes tremendously to the point where Dark Souls would be a less infuriating option. Thank God it was free cause I'd be really pissed if I paid $60 for this. I loved the other LBP games but this one just isn't enjoyable after the halfway point.
