Fascinating read about Texas (primarily) oil money and how it funded/funds the radical right beginning with anti-Roosevelt, anti-labor, anti-New Deal movements in the 1930's. Very bizarre that in a book written in 2009 the author still refers to Black people as "Negroes" and occasionally even the "n" word. For that reason I am sorry I bought the book. There's really no excuse.
