Fly-through is similar to that of Soarin’ in Disney. Intro to the movie is a bit cheesy. Images of nature seem to depict only a few landscapes. In the fly through of different civilizations showing culture, religion, and humankind, the movie seems to be biased towards Indian & South Asian cultures. Missed opportunity to show the plethora of diversity, landscapes, and cultures. Lastly the idea that in the future Earth will be a playground only for those with resources to “come back to Earth” is a weirdly elitist narrative for the overall progressive storyline. Overall great venue, great graphics, great production, but “Postcard to Earth” is not worth the $100-$200 price tag. If you’ve never experienced a globe-like theater with amazing audio, you have extra money and want something to do, go for it, but just be aware what you’re in for.
