After reading the book and loved it, watching the movie and hating it, I was just okay with this adaptation. It was much better than the movie, but the relationship between the actors fell short. It wasn't the worst acting by any means, in fact I think they were great actors in the show. However the two main characters were lacking a spark it seemed like their characters were almost platonic. I wish they had displayed a stronger connection from the start. It was hard to watch, and made it feel like they got together at the end because that was just what was left to do at that point in their life.
