This is the first time that I have EVER written a review on a book publicly, since I literally just found out this existed. I am a long time fan of the whole Riordanverse. I first read these books four years ago when a teacher introduced me to them. I love all of these books, but The House of Hades just hit me, y'know? Aside from The Blood of Olympus this is definitely my favorite book in the series. I am not going to say much, but seriously, this was amazing. I also saw someone's review. They called Caleo pedo, and they said Rick was bad for giving Nico a forced outing? Let me get into this. THIS CONTAINS SPOILERS FOR THE HEROES OF OLYMPUS SERIES AND THE TRIALS OF APOLLO SERIES. DO NOT READ IF YOU HAVENT READ THOSE BOOKS. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED. Nico's outing was very emotional. Forced outings are not good, but when Rick gave him that forced outing, he gave us a look into real life. That stuff actually happens. It's bringing awareness. If you're gonna call Rick bad for that, then you should also be calling out everyone who gives their characters TONS of trauma. They are made up characters, and stuff like that brings awareness. Number two, Caleo. Caleo is not pedo. In the series, Calypso is around the same age as Leo. After she got off the Island, she was able to age. What I gathered from this is that the Island froze her in time. So she time traveled. If you call the pedo, then think about Nico and Will and Hazel and Frank. Are they pedo? No. THEY ARE NOT PEDO.
