Robert Fleming

Directed by the legendary John Ford, an interesting story and an excellent cast still can't quite rescue this saga of an honorable U.S. Cavalry officer & a mercenary Texas lawman. who set out to return long ago captured Whites from the territorial Comanches. It feels too much like Fords 1956 classic, The Searchers; which was far more compelling, far more exciting and simply far more entertaining. A John Ford movie is always worth a second look, although in this case, only James Stewart portrait would be the only reason to watch beginning to end.
