Bon Appétit, Your Majesty is a delightful K-drama that serves a true feast for the eyes and the heart. From the very first episode, it captivates with its refreshing mix of humor, romance, heartfelt moments, and a storyline that feels both lighthearted and emotionally deep. What makes this series unique is how it weaves food, history, and love into one meaningful journey—each dish carries emotions, memories, and healing. The acting is one of the show’s biggest strengths. Lee Chae-min shines brilliantly as King Yi Heon, delivering a layered portrayal that balances power, vulnerability, and emotional depth. His expressive eyes and subtle acting made every scene unforgettable, raising the bar for future portrayals of royal characters. Im Yoona, as the modern chef Yeon Ji-yeong is equally brilliant—her warmth, wit, and brings sincerity to her role. Her natural performance, especially in the cooking scenes she executed herself, added authenticity and charm. Together, their chemistry is undeniable—sweet, genuine, and beautifully written, making their romance one of the strongest points of the series. The supporting cast also deserves recognition. From comic relief to emotional depth, or tension, each character brought their own spark contributed to making the story well-rounded and alive. Even antagonists played their parts with impact, adding the right amount of conflict and depth. On the production side, the series is visually stunning. The cinematography, set design, and costumes create a fairytale-meets-modern atmosphere, while the OST heightened the emotional beats with just the right touch. The directing kept the pacing smooth, engaging, and full of warmth. What sets the series apart is its message—that true leadership is rooted not in tyranny or power, but in empathy, kindness, reflection, and thoughtfulness. Food became more than survival; it was a language of love, healing, and connection—the power of food to connect people across time, the series leaves a lasting emotional impact. These themes made the drama not only entertaining but also meaningful. While Bon Appétit, Your Majesty was a beautiful drama, I couldn’t give this series a perfect 10/10. Even though the ending was happy and touching, it felt too rushed and abrupt, leaving too many questions unanswered/storylines unresolved. How exactly did the king arrive in her timeline? Was he searching for her? What happened in the palace after he disappeared? What about the loyal squad members and the royal chefs who shaped so much of his life? So many storylines were left unresolved, and that kept the finale from being truly satisfying.

The Wrong Paris is everything a romantic comedy fan could ask for — sweet, funny, dramatic, cute, and full of heart. With swoon-worthy characters and the perfect balance of lighthearted charm and emotional depth, it captures that dreamy rom-com magic we all crave. It’s the ultimate feel-good watch — the kind of movie you put on when you just want to relax, unwind, and escape into a love story. Yes, it leans into a few clichés, but honestly, that’s exactly what makes it comforting. What really stood out to me was the cinematography. The scenery was absolutely breathtaking (seriously, does this place actually exist?) and the whole film had that glowing, picture-perfect aesthetic that made every scene feel cinematic. The leads were magnetic. Miranda and Pierson’s chemistry was undeniable — sparks flew in every single scene. The leading man felt like he walked straight out of a romance novel: charismatic, mesmerizing, and impossible to ignore. And the leading lady? I adored her. Even though she played “hard to get,” it felt authentic and only made her character more endearing. Sure, the story itself may be a little predictable, and I’ll admit a few of the serious dramatic moments could have been acted out better. But honestly, those tiny flaws didn’t take away from the overall experience. The plot had a few wonky turns, but it was heartfelt, fun, and consistently entertaining. One thing I especially loved was the refreshing twist in the romance: this time, the woman didn’t have to sacrifice her dreams or goals for love. Finally, a rom-com that celebrates both love and ambition. That felt like such a win and made the story even more satisfying. At the end of the day, The Wrong Paris is easily one of the best rom-coms I’ve seen in a long time. It’s charming, funny, romantic, and a little dramatic — everything I want in a rom-com. I enjoyed every minute of it, and it’s already made its way onto my list of comfort watches. And if you’re a Hallmark fan, trust me, this one will give you all the feels too.

My partner and I jumped on this the moment it dropped on Netflix and wow — as horror fans, we really enjoyed it! Right from the start, the film felt like a rollercoaster of emotions. The cinematography was stunning, the shots were beautifully crafted, the sound design elevated every scare, and the attention to detail really impressed me. The plot itself was gripping. The buildup of suspense was absolutely amazing — not something you could easily predict. The jumpscares were spot-on too. Normally, I can sense them coming, but this movie went above and beyond. And the ending? So satisfying — not rushed, not cut short, but a solid, well-rounded arc with a payoff that felt earned. It kept me on the edge of my seat the whole time, making me anxious for the characters and how they would survive each night. Honestly, it’s been a long time since a horror movie made me feel that level of fear and tension, and this one nailed it perfectly. What makes it extra interesting is how the story mixes the vibes of a classic teen slasher with a supernatural time loop twist. Each night resets with new dangers, making the whole thing unpredictable and fresh. The Wendigo myth adds another chilling layer to the mystery, giving the scares more depth. At times, it reminded me a little of Happy Death Day — except here, the five friends keep dying in brutal ways, sometimes at the hands of a psycho, sometimes by supernatural creatures. But it’s not all about the thrills. There’s also a lingering sadness in the story. The mystery of Melanie Paul, the reason they were all trapped in this loop, hit hard. Finding out she became one of the very creatures they were fighting against was such a gut-wrenching twist. And beyond Melanie, the wall of missing persons posters in Glore Valley hints at many others whose fates remain unsolved. The unsettling thought is that some of them might already have become Wendigos, trapped in an endless cycle of horror. It gives the story a deeper, more tragic layer that lingers after the credits roll. If I had one gripe, it’s that the time skip felt a bit off. Clover and her friends (Max, Megan, Abe, and Nina) had us fully invested in their first few nights — the first, second, third, and fourth. But then suddenly, it jumped all the way to their thirteenth night, skipping over what could’ve been more intense storytelling. It didn’t ruin the movie, but it definitely felt like a missed opportunity. Overall, Until Dawn stands strong on its own. Even though it isn’t a direct copy of the game, I actually see it as a clever little prequel — and it works perfectly that way. If you go in expecting it to follow the game exactly, you’ll be disappointed. My advice: go in with no expectations, and you’ll have a great time. For me, it’s a solid 8/10. Hopefully, the cliffhanger ending hints at something bigger, maybe even a new adaptation of the game in this loop format. Fingers crossed we get to revisit the lodge again soon. Would I rewatch this? Absolutely. Creepy, unpredictable, and gripping till the very end — Until Dawn is a horror film that deserves a spot on every horror fan’s watchlist.

First of all, a huge thank you to Netflix for finally dropping Wednesday Season 2! 🖤🕸🐦‍⬛ I’ve been waiting since the day Season 1 ended in 2022, and WOW this season did not disappoint. I binged both Part 1 and Part 2 the moment they came out, and it was such a ride. This time around, Wednesday Addams feels sharper and more unapologetic than ever. Jenna Ortega once again proves why she is Wednesday — her deadpan wit, piercing stares, and sarcastic one-liners are absolute perfection. What makes her performance so strong is the balance between her cold, gothic exterior and those rare, fleeting glimpses of vulnerability that add real depth to her character. The mystery in Season 2 digs even deeper into Nevermore’s secrets and the Addams family legacy, raising the stakes while keeping that eerie, whimsical tone intact. The writing blends clever dark humor with emotional beats that highlight Wednesday’s growth. The atmosphere is creepier, the twists land harder, and the pacing keeps a steady gothic energy that makes it almost impossible to stop watching. The friendships are where this season really shines. Wednesday and Enid’s odd-couple bond remains the emotional heart of the series, with every scene between them being a highlight. The introduction of Agnes (Evie Templeton) was a fantastic move — her chemistry with both Wednesday and Enid feels so natural that their trio dynamic quickly became a fan favorite. And for long-time Addams fans, Season 2 finally gives us more backstory about Thing, which added such a fun and touching layer to the series. I do wish the Nightshade Society was more involved in the mystery, and I’d have loved to see more family moments with Morticia, Gomez, Pugsley and Grandmama Hester Frump. Still, the relationships we did get carried so much heart. For me, this season is a solid 9/10. A couple of episodes dragged slightly in the middle, but the finale delivered a chilling and emotional payoff that made up for it. My only real gripe? The Hyde storyline being dragged into Season 3. Personally, I would’ve preferred wrapping it up here and moving on to a brand-new villain to keep things fresh. Final thoughts — Wednesday Season 2 is darker, funnier, and even more emotional than Season 1. It’s binge-worthy from start to finish, anchored by Jenna Ortega’s flawless performance and elevated by the chemistry between her, Emma Myers (Enid), and Evie Templeton (Agnes). The cliffhanger ending guarantees fans will be buzzing until Season 3 drops. Hopefully next season (S3) we’ll see Wednesday, Enid, and Agnes diving into new mysteries together, with more focus on their family backgrounds (I'm sure fans would be excited to learn more about Enid & Agnes) and yes, more Ajax too, especially since Season 2 gave us deeper insight into Bianca and her family. I’m also excited to finally learn more about Wednesday’s Aunt Ophelia and hope we get to see more of Lady Gaga as Rosaline Rotwood. Above all, I’m wishing for fresh villains in Season 3, with the Hyde arc finally put to rest.

I got to enjoy the midnight movie with my younger sister, other contest winners, and some invited influencers too. Such a fun and unforgettable night! 🎬🌙 The Conjuring cinematic universe has always been a comfort watch for horror enthusiasts, and Last Rites marks the fourth and final installment in Ed and Lorraine Warren’s story. This chapter feels like the most emotional one yet spooky, creepy, and relentlessly unnerving, while also serving as a heartfelt tribute to family, love, and perseverance. Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga as Ed & Lorraine Warren will forever be one of the most iconic casting choices in horror history. Their warmth, resilience, and undeniable chemistry never fade. They’ve always been the soul of this franchise. In this haunting yet heartfelt farewell, they deliver performances that are both powerful and tender, making this finale feel truly special. It even left me a little teary-eyed 🥹. This time, it’s not just about the scares, but also the love story and family bond that anchor it all. As a closing chapter, it manages to be chilling and deeply emotional at the same time. It may not be the strongest of the four films, but it’s definitely not the weakest either. What it does best is give a meaningful and satisfying end to the Warrens’ journey. Fans will be delighted with the surprise cameos from the Conjuring universe, along with a touching send-off that finally closes their last case for good. For my rating, I’d give it 8.5/10. I couldn’t quite go for a full 10 because while I know this movie is based on real-life events and cases, I do wish the ghosts had a little more backstory. Like maybe a short 2–5 minute scene showing why they couldn’t find peace and ended up haunting instead of just explaining it all through dialogue. That small touch could’ve added more depth, extra chills, and maybe even a few gory jump scares to make the horror feel more intense. Overall, The Conjuring: Last Rites is creepy, emotional, and a little bittersweet — the perfect send-off for Ed and Lorraine. Not the scariest of the bunch, but definitely a must-watch on the big screen if you’ve been following the series. Oh and please don’t rush out of the cinema just yet. Stay for the post-credits scene featuring archival footage of the real-life Warrens. It ties everything together so beautifully and gave me chills. If you ask me whether I’m going to rewatch this again? Absolutely yes! My family, my partner, and I have been huge fans of this franchise for years. I’ll definitely be rewatching all the movies again and honestly, I never get bored of them. 🖤 Can’t wait to see what other horror films come next, and hopefully we’ll get to see Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga in more horror roles. It would be even more amazing if Vera’s sister, Taissa Farmiga (who played Sister Irene in The Nun), joins them in another horror project too. That would be such a treat for fans! 🖤

I actually found out about Weapons thanks to my partner, Ihsan. We watched the trailer months ago, and since I’m all in for anything horror—movies, series, books, games—you name it, I knew straight away this was going to be on my watchlist. I ended up watching it in cinemas with 13 of my family members during our family vacation (8 couldn't join that night) and honestly, money well spent. Horror ✔️ jump scares ✔️ a sprinkle of comedy ✔️ it had everything to keep us entertained. I didn’t go in with super high expectations like, c’mon, kids running off at the same time? Clearly something supernatural is up but the movie completely surprised me. It doesn’t spoon-feed you; instead, each character has their own story, and you’re left to connect the dots yourself, which made the whole experience so much creepier and more fun. From the very beginning, Weapons had me hooked. That big trailer moment—17 kids mysteriously walking out of their home at 2:17 a.m.—actually happens in the first few minutes, and then the real story begins. What follows is told through hyperlink storytelling (multiple perspectives that overlap), and I loved that approach. Each character’s POV felt like a self-contained mini-story, but together they built this massive, chilling puzzle. The pacing was perfect. Slow and deliberate when building dread, then absolutely chaotic when things went down. The editing and sound design were so good, and the balance of tension, gore, humor, and story-building was all blended so well. The acting? Incredible. Every single character delivered. Their perspectives didn’t just add to the mystery, they made the story feel deeply personal. And the twists??? Omg. My first guess was aliens (lol, so wrong), but the truth was way darker. By the time everything unraveled, I was left breathless. The ending was creepy yet satisfying it wrapped things up in a way that made sense, and I loved that good finally triumphed over evil. Also, big shoutout to the comedy moments. They weren’t forced; they felt natural, like how any of us would react in ridiculous scary situations. In my screening, the whole theatre was screaming, gasping, and laughing together. It was such a fun, collective horror ride. Final thoughts? Weapons is honestly one of the best horror films I’ve seen recently. Unique, original, emotional, scary, and still fun. It’s disturbing but also entertaining in the best way possible. 7/10 for me. I’d definitely rate it a 9/10 if there were more backstories about the villain and if they showed what happened to the victims after the incident, instead of just explaining it through narration/dialogue. I won’t go into detail because I don’t like giving spoilers. I’d rather let people enjoy the full experience of watching it for the first time without anything being ruined. If you love horror/mystery, you need to watch this one preferably in a packed cinema, because the experience is unforgettable. An instant classic. And yes… I’ll definitely be rewatching it with my partner-in-everything, Ihsan.

I’ve been waiting for this sequel ever since it was officially announced last year, and I finally got to watch it in cinemas with my partner-in-everything, Ihsan and my younger sister, Annisa. The first Freaky Friday was one of my childhood favorites. I rewatched it countless times and never got bored so this sequel carried a lot of expectations. Sequels often disappoint, but Freakier Friday turned out to be so much more than I hoped for. It completely exceeded my expectations. From start to finish, it was a spectacular ride. The movie was genuinely hilarious, heartfelt, and bursting with charm. The entire theatre was filled with laughter, including mine, and that collective joy made the experience even more special. I loved everything: the story, the characters, the nostalgic callbacks, and how it balanced honoring the original while giving us a fresh, exciting new chapter. It brought the same crazy, awkward, feel-good energy of the first film, but with even more color, humor, and heart. The way everything tied together gave such a perfect sense of closure. The performances were phenomenal. Lindsay Lohan and Jamie Lee Curtis lit up the screen with the same chemistry and comedic brilliance they had over 20 years ago. Watching them together again was pure magic. They made me smile through the entire film. Most importantly, this film gave me the joy of sharing a childhood favorite with Ihsan & Annisa. The fact that the film turned out to be so genuinely good made it unforgettable. Maybe nostalgia played a part, but it was truly an amazing experience that I’ll cherish forever. Freakier Friday is more than just a sequel. It’s a celebration of what made the first film special, while giving us a new, heartwarming story full of humor, chaos, and love. It’s definitely a must-watch for fans of the original, for anyone who enjoys fun, lighthearted films, and absolutely worth experiencing on the big screen while you still can. It’s a worthy addition to Disney’s collection and officially on my list of comfort films. Bravo to the cast, the directors, and everyone who brought this gem to life. I’m already hoping for a third because I’d love to see this duo again.
