If you give this movie anything below 3 stars I have bad news for you: you don’t enjoy movies. Pack it in, your movie watching career is over. If you discuss this movie with other people they’ll instantly know if you’re a credible, objective movie watcher or not. That out of the way, Barbie is a solid movie the whole family can enjoy. Barbie has several things to teach us but at its core it’s a movie about self acceptance. It’s empowering, charming, funny, a bit tongue in cheek, and very very colorful. You could watch this on mute for the wardrobe and set design alone and still be entertained. Go see it!
