This is now my favorite of the Marvel films. I absolutely loved the first one so I was apprehensive about how I would view this one, but the plot is even better written than the first film. This movie treads delicately on the loss of our original Black Panther while delivering a deserving a worthy successor. Shuri has always been a charismatic presence on screen but steps into her light in this one. She walks the line of passionate, playful, and vengeful with precision. The introduction of Namor as both a villain and future ally was also something that created a lot of excitement while watching the film. There is something about Namor that both frightens and enchants and you can’t look away from his character. You can’t decide if you distrust him or want him to win. Well done.
