Exceptional artistry combined with a skillful introduction of contemporary history( fascism) makes this sophisticated retelling of a marvelous coming of age tale ( and examination of what it means to be alive / human) enchanting and memorable. A film destined for awards and classic status. I look forward to adding a Blu-ray to my library when it is released! The film is well suited for both family viewing and multiple layers of discussion.
