I couldn't rewatched boys over flowers because of the toxicity, I expected meteor garden will be better since we are more enlightened. Doeming Si who reprised the role of Lee min Ho was so toxic. He should be looking for a therapist not a girlfriend. In episode 4, he punched the iron gate, just right besides her head, so much so that his knuckles began to bleed. She was frightened, ran away from him, fell down, he followed her, forced her on her feet and pushed her against the iron gate. In 23:00 seconds, of the same episode, he literally sexually molested her until she cried. He forced himself and kissed her twice, even when she was begging him not to come close to her because she was scared. He did all this because she brushed off chalk dust from the head of his friend whom she really like. Mind you, they aren't dating (not like it would be ok if they were dating) I can't believe in this age and time, rape culture and violence against women will be so brazenly endorsed. I am so disgusted. This movie made me dislike Dylan Wang because it's just too disgusting to stomach. How people even read romance into a man, rather, a boy bullying a girl 'because he liked her' will forever evade me. As in, you can't tell her you like her but you can go out of your way to harm her, punch the wall, break phones, push away her friends until they fall and force your lips on her because you like her. Clearly that is easier than just saying "I love you" and taking her on a nice date. To think I downloaded this MODERN DAY UNRECYCLABLE TRASH because of all the positive reviews I saw shows how entrenched rape culture is. If it was possible to give this movie a zero review I would have done so because in so disgusted.
