Just started but having a little trouble accepting some of the story. E.g. Why/how the sudden transfer of a NSW detective across 4000klm to Western Australia happens without weeks of paperwork and Liaison between states , and why a Case in Sydney would make headline news in WA. The Australian states are fairly insular still. Other than those things it is a gripping story so far.
Have just realised it was written by an American author, which explains a lot of things that do not make sense to an Australian. e.g. why would a detective in the kimberley region of western Australia have to contact Sydney police in NSW not WA police in Perth?
