I have come to love this book in an odd way, I say that because while reading it, I have to keep my understanding of right or wrong aside but instead understand every action based on the context of the time period this took place in, the rituals followed then, the normal lifestyle of a king then, etc. Afterall the storyline is concerned with the throne, power and ultimately crucial decisions, some of which we might not like. Overall, it is beautifully written and I would certainly recommend.
