I’ve always liked Celine Dion, her music, and her energy. I was disappointed at the documentary. Presented, was a woman who only identifies with being a singer in stage. She repeated several times that she’s afraid people are going to forget her. There was a huge disconnect in her personal life and career and she seemed to feel lost without her career. She’s highly entitled and has the best medical staff at her own home. She’s been a hard worker and can enjoy the material things…so enjoy them and the time with your boys…instead of running after something that most likely won’t happen for you again. The gaming consoles her boys have could feed a small nation for a year. But the worst part was the saving of every single material possession. Something isn’t quite right with her. I left the film feeling sad for her…not because of the terrible illness she has to learn to live with but an emptiness she has inside that she feels can only be filled with a screaming audience or material relics. What was most disturbing, however, was her very overweight dog…no one seemed to walk him, and he was fed gross dry kibble from a ziplock bag!! 😣
