I watched this movie at the Humboldt-Forum in Berlin, Germany. Before the movie started, there was a great one hour long introduction. I liked the movie, my first Argentinian movie, very much. First of all, the "plot", the characters, the humor and irony. A feel-good movie at first sight. However, the current societal and political context was presented as well. Shortly though, but impressive. Well, the Puan spirit was displayed well enough for a novice like me to get the gist. The inner conflicts of Puan as well are present, teaching old European philosophy against the background of an emerging or already strong LATAM philosophy (thinking). This public university, like others in many countries, might not be the best educational institution. However, as an open university it is more important for (any) society as a whole than its surface reveals and especially neo-liberal critics acknowledge. High tuition and government control mechanisms maybe "good" for the rich and for economic success in general but are not the key to societal progress. Puan, as an institution and as a mindset with all its shortcomings is valuable. For me, a great message of this 5-stars LATAM-movie. Understandably a blockbuster in Argentina and other countries of the Americas.
