The Marvels had a lot of potential, and some parts were funny and interesting, however it was still very predictable. There was a lack of suspense because you could very quickly tell what would happen next - ie. good guy almost dies but kills bad guy in the end. When you’ve watched many Marvel films in past, you are often bored by similar plot lines like those above which makes you want the film to finish quicker. The highlight of the film was the tiny bit of screen time Park Seo Join received. He nailed that part. Overall, it wasn’t the worst film ever (but still not very good) but it is certainly sad that that standard is now being set for Marvel.

Season 1 was met with thrill, excitement and genuine interest in the characters. Season 2 lost much of its shine, however, the developing plot kept me interested for the most part. However, in Seasons 3 - 4, the plot soon became unbearably predictable. The deliveries had no impact. The audience, much like the Boy Who Cried Wolf, became so accustomed to characters almost dying, or even dying, only to return in a few episode's time that it became extremely difficult to watch at times. I would not recommend this show to anyone who wants an interesting plot. Maybe if you were bored, I could see, but even then, it'd be better to watch many other things.
